Check this site out my fellow EFXers! We have a pretty talented group of people here in our little group. Thanks to ChicaX (aka Kelly) she has started up a group over on Flickr. We are given a photo each week and asked to edit with no restrictions. It is super fun and it is really great to see all the different ideas people have. Come on over and have a boo!

Today I have some company coming over from the island, which I am pretty excited about, because this time it is actually a friend of mine and not Donna's! LOL...We are going out for dinner tonight and then going to see the Dave Brubeck concert! For anybody who is a jazz buff - this is the ultimate! I have dreamt of seeing Dave since I was 4 years old! Funny kind of fantasy for a normal 4-year-old, but I grew up in a house filled with jazz. I listened to Dave and grooved along to his music along with Benny Goodman, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonius Monk, Jerry Mulligan...well you name it I heard it. Anyway - tonight will be super and I can hardly wait. I'll write it up in a day or so.

Hope the concert and offcourse the visit of the friend was a blast and that it will be repeated.

Man, those cats, like, in the Brubeck video--they dress so square, man! And then they put down those amazing notes, like! I'm, like, blown away, man!

This video must date from the late '50s or so. A half century gone. Brubeck's music is alive and doing very well. Glad that you got to see the master.
